«Arteterapia Y Couseling: Nuevas Fronteras De La Terapia Para Mejorar La Calidad De La Intervencion En El Ámbito Social»

Throughout history the relationship between art and emotional health has been present for the demonstrable benefits for disease prevention and balance. Until the arrival of Descartes and positivist thought, our ancestors, passing through the Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, until the Middle Ages, did not doubt the potential of art, adfirming thatanyone that has not been trained in Artistic techniques or otherwise, has the innate ability to be able to project emotions, difficulties, desires, needs through an artistic language, obtaining benefits.
We find that currently in Canada, UK, Israel, USA, the arte-therayy is a profession recognized by the Ministry of Health and in other countries is incorporated into the school system (FR, IT) but in Spain its incorporation has been slower, being currently in the process of recognition.
That is why, the opportunity to do a project with other countries where art therapy is more advanced, would help in one hand to an improvement of our methodologies with users in their practices and, at the same time, for art therapy to gain greater visibility in Spanish society, approaching the evolutionary process that has already occurred at the international level.
Art therapy is part of an anthropological commitment, whose strengths are the social construction of the person, the dynamics of interpersonal relationships and intersubjective understanding, the structure of communities and at a small-scale, social groups.
Art therapy is one of the most significant ways to achieve responsible change in the centers of communities and educational projects, and this collaboration is presented as a unique opportunity to contrast at a European level the issues mentioned. This project will involve 21 people in mobility to Italy and Germany who will take part in Art Therapy and will receive training in Counceling, bioenergetics, dance and video-storytelling as tools to work with people in social exclusion. This project aims to improve the areas related to:
-The competencies of teachers, teachers, professionals active in the consortium organizations, in the use of artistic, psychological and counceling tools, dance, video and storytelling with the people with whom it intervenes and in the field of teaching favoring a context New and out of our country.
– Acquisition of new models and teaching methodology, contents in art therapy and counceling, dance, video and storytelling.
